The Scrap Studio bring you another card kit which really has been "stitched" together with love. Even our mom got roped in and patiently crocheted over 100 of these beautiful blossoms for us. Only a mother would do these things for you. She has been trying to teach my sister and I to crochet but I hate to admit that I am just not getting it. Belinda has managed to crochet a full square but I feel like I have 9 fingers on each hand and there is just no comfortable way to hold it all together. If I ever get past the first step. the chain, I may just be able to crochet my own granchildren beautiful blankets to remind them of me. Luckily I have a good few years still to learn. Anyway, back to the cards ...
We used The Thrift Shop paper collection from October Afternoon which has such a lovely retro vintage feel.
Ric rac, safety pins, buttons, ribbon, scissor charms and sparkly rhinestones were added in keeping with the "sewing" theme. Okay, the rhinestones really don't have much to do with sewing but no card is complete without a hint of glamour!
We even gave up some beautiful vintage buttons from our stash. Guess which ones I am talking about. They are easy to spot. You just don't find unique buttons like this anymore.
We loved this black and cream patterned paper so much that it is sitting on the table ready to be used on our next card kit. So beautiful with rich plums and gold. We have soe wedding inviatations to get done and another children's party to prepare for before we can play with that but hopefully it will be soon. I am dreaming about that paper.
I think my mom could make those crocheted blossoms with her eyes closed! You must see the beautiful blankets she has been crocheting for her granchildren. Too beautiful. I will have to take some photo's and post them.
This one is one is my favourite. Okay, I think that is about all the photographs this post will be able to handle. If you did not manage to make the class then these cards are now available as a kit with full colour instructions. Give Maxine a ring at the shop if you would like one.
Thanks for stopping by.
